Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to join the 300 crore club?

The industry saw it coming, and fans have it happen finally. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is looking to be the third film to cross the 300 crore worldwide. It has collected over 270 crore in 17 days worldwide which makes it the third biggest grosser of Bollywood.
After a bumper opening of Rs.19.45 crore in the country, and an opening weekend of a whopping Rs.62.11 crore, the Ayan Mukerji directorial continues running to packed houses in India.

Infact, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani became the first film to cross Rs.100 crore mark within just a week of its release.

The youthful romantic entertainer released May 31, and saw audiences who came either besotted by the movie's fun and frolicsome trailer, or by sheer word of the mouth.

The movie, produced by Karan Johar, also has Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur in more than supporting roles to back this heartwarming story about family, friends and love.

The other two Indian movies that raked in 300 crore are:

Ek Tha Tiger
Ek Tha Tiger is a 2012 Indian action film, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. It stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Ek Tha Tiger is second biggest grosser in India and is 6th biggest grosser Overseas. 
Ek Tha Tiger became the second film to cross 300 crore mark worldwide.

3 Idiots
3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with a screenplay by Abhijat Joshi, and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat. The box office collection of the movie went upto Rs.385 crore. 
Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer 3 Idiots grossed 315 Crores in 19 days after it's release.
 
There are strong chances that Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in a few days will become the third highest grossing film in Bollywood.
